Classic Legend Labradors was established 13 and a half years ago as a result of the purchase of my first black Labrador, Sadie. I was loking for the English style Labrador and through my research, contacted Special Occasion Kennels, Diane G. Wehrheim. I along with my boyfriend at the time who is now my husband, visited Diane to view puppies in a litter she had. We instantly liked Diane, her breeding practices, and of course, her beautiful puppies. We immediately put a deposit on a black female who became the love of our life, Special Occasion Westport Lady Sadie, "Sadie".
I became very active with Sadie. I regularly attended obedience classes and became a member of Lyons Township Dog Training Club and later became an obedience instructor. I also became interested in showing Sadie in the conformation ring where I earned a point toward Sadie's championship. Well, that is all it took and I was bitten by the conformation bug.
Looking to add to our family and to what I had to show in the ring, I later purchased my gorgeous yellow male, again from Diane, Special Occasion Classic Legend, "Dillon". Dillon is also the first one of my animals to carry the "Classic Legend" prefix in his registered name.
Wanting to keep Sadie's legend alive, I decided to breed her and she produced a beautiful Chocolate female, Classic Legend Ripple Effect, "Ripple". Ripple proved competitive in the show ring and has a Best of Breed and a Group 3 placement as part of her winning collection.
My husband and I treat our animals like a member of our family and they truly are like one of our children. I look forward to speaking with you regarding the adoption of a Classic Legend Puppy and I'm available anytime to answer any questions.
